Bowood finale for Liberty X

POP band Liberty X will perform one of their last ever gigs together in Wiltshire this autumn, it has been revealed.

The quintet, made up from the runners-up of reality show Popstars, will go their separate ways soon after performing at Wiltshire Crimestoppers family fun day at Bowood House and Gardens on September 2.

The show, sponsored by the Wiltshire Times, will be one of the last chances that fans of the group will get to see them perform together.



The group, made up of Jessica, Kelli, Tony, Michelle and Kevin, announced on their website they not be recording any more material together and have planned a farewell gig for August 4.

They go onto say they will complete their club tour and perform together at one-off special events, including the Crimestoppers festival. The Crimestoppers event, which runs from 10am to 6pm, will feature other artists including former Steps singer Lisa Scott-Lee, ex-Atomic Kitten Liz McClarnon and X Factor finalists Ben Mills and Eton Road.

There are only 20,000 tickets on sale and organisers are expecting a full house.

In addition to the music there will be entertainment in the form of the Bluebelle Majorettes, falconry displays, St John Ambulance demonstrations, Chippenham Morris Men and a martial arts display.

Liberty X star lands panto role

Singer Michelle Scott-Lee has proved there is life after pop stardom - and it lies on the stage.

She's landed herself a juicy role in the pantomime Cinderella, and is starring opposite one of the entertainment biz's biggest names.



Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney has also signed up to perform in the fairytale at the Sunderland Empire theatre, but the veteran actor could have an ulterior motive for popping over to the UK.

He's mad keen for a role in John Nettles' drama Midsomer Murders. The veteran star told Sky Showbiz: "I love watching it, it's really so well done." Maybe if he puts a good word in for his co-star Michelle, she could appear in the gentle crime drama too?

Jessica Taylor stumped by KP

JESSICA TAYLOR has admitted that she didn’t know fiancé KEVIN PIETERSEN was a top England batsman when they met.

The pair — dubbed the Posh and Becks of cricket — will wed in September after meeting last year.



They were introduced through mutual friends.

But Jessica, 26, admits: "I had to ask if he was a batter or a bowler — I didn’t really know who he was."

Kelli Young has revealed that the group decided to split because the girls wanted to settle down.



The singer explained that Michelle Heaton is hoping to have children in the near future with husband Andy Scott-Lee, while Jessica Taylor is also planning to start a family with England cricketer Kevin Pietersen.

"Michelle and Andy are wanting to have kids and Jessica is also at the point where she wants children," Young told the Daily Star Sunday. "I'd expect both girls to be pregnant very, very soon."

Kelli also confirmed that she is launching a solo career.
